In Western Kenya, a forgotten town by the name of Ukwala remains. In efforts to regain the livelihood of a bright and populated area, the All-Lights Village Project, a signature community-based initiative of the Global Peace Foundation (GPF), distributed and installed solar-powered street lights in partnership with the Leadership Task Force (LTF) volunteers, the County Government of Siaya, and Dongruokdala Community based-organization.

The volunteers and local Ukwala residents also rehabilitated Green Park with grass and flowers. Ukwala once was a hub of growing enterprise, but has since slown down. The All-Lights Village project launched with partnering organization brings new prospects on the horizon.
