Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Brazil and the Federal University of Goias State have agreed on a working partnership to implement an 18-month environmental and socio-economic study in Guapo City.
The program is made possible by the supervision of four professors and 300 high school students beginning in late July 2023.
More than 70 students attended the signing of the agreement this June during the commemoration of World Environment Day, where GPF Brazil CEO Massimo Trombin presented topics on the environment, water resources, and its ultimate effect on peace in surrounding regions.
Organizers and students plan to discuss upcoming projects leading up to the launch in July, including plans to assist elderly and vulnerable families in the community, which are already underway. The program will continue through the year 2024. Sign up for GPF newsletters and learn more Brazil | Global Peace Foundation.
