KimHyung-suk, South Korean composer best known for his works for “My Sassy Girl” and “My Brother,” will attend the special event at the Lincoln Memorial on August 15 at 3pm to debut the New Era Unification Song Campaign. The campaign was launched late April this year as a way to engage the Korean public and especially youth with the issue of Korean reunification.
“I vividly remember my grandparents crying when they watched the unions of separated families on TV. I will compose the song with that sentiment,” the composer and writer of more than 1,000 songs told media at a press conference that launched the campaign.
