Every year, Global Peace Foundation and Global Peace Women Paraguay recognize exceptional women in Paraguay who exemplify the value of altruism. The annual “Living for the Sake of Others Awards” higlights the contribution of women from various sectors who have made a significant impact in their families, communities, and nation. The unique award specifically acknowledges the essential role of women in development and peace.
The 2016 Living for the Sake of Others Award was presented to six outstanding women leaders, including Sister Josefina Yamada, Dolly Espíndola, Alicia Puchetta de Correa, Claudia Kress, Carina Daher Pacuá, and Maria Sixta Marecos de Vera.
