International Young Leaders Assembly

The International Young Leaders Assembly (IYLA) is an annual convening of university student leaders and young professionals from around the world for interactive programs at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Participants meet with UN host missions, learn important leadership skills, and collaborate on strategies for sustainable peace and development.

The IYLA highlights the importance of moral and innovative leadership in realizing the vision of one human family transcending boundaries of race, ethnicity, and religion. Participants consider the mission of the United Nations as the preeminent international representative body, and the leadership required to effectively achieve the ideals of the UN’s founding Charter. The IYLA particularly explores the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all” as part of the UN’s 2030 Agenda.
