Local volunteers in Washington state celebrated the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through a Day of Service organized by the Global Peace Foundation and the City of Lynnwood on January 15. Volunteers of all ages spent their day off as a day on, bridging their cultural divides and participating in a series of projects including a park trail rehabilitation, cleaning city shuttle buses and designing motivational posters with positive messages for a local elementary school.
