The Dumisha Amani II project is expanding its investment in youth as a pathway to lasting peace in Tanzania. Through a partnership between the Global Peace Foundation (GPF), the United Nations Peace and Development Fund (UNPDF), UNDP Tanzania, China Petroleum Pipeline (CPP), and VETA, 240 young people from Mtwara, Lindi, Ruvuma, and Kigoma will receive vocational, entrepreneurship, and peacebuilding training designed to improve livelihoods while strengthening social cohesion.

For several years, GPF Tanzania has worked alongside national and local partners to equip young people with practical skills, values-based leadership, and opportunities to become peace ambassadors in their communities. The new training builds on earlier Dumisha Amani initiatives that established youth peace clubs, digital information centers, and income-generating projects across southern Tanzania, demonstrating how economic opportunity and peacebuilding can advance together.
