The United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office in Nigeria recently convened a Peace Circle in Abuja to amplify youth voices in peacebuilding and strengthen collaboration across sectors under the theme, “Hear Us. Act Now for a Peaceful World.” Bringing together young peacebuilders, civil society organizations, faith leaders, and peace practitioners, the dialogue explored how inclusive leadership, conflict prevention, and stronger community partnerships can equip young people to play a greater role in building peaceful and resilient societies.

Reverend John Joseph Hayab, country director of Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Nigeria, joined other peace leaders in emphasizing integrity, ethical leadership, and dialogue as essential to sustainable peace. His participation reflects GPF Nigeria’s ongoing commitment to empowering young people through leadership development, interfaith collaboration, and community-driven peacebuilding initiatives that enable youth to become active contributors to social cohesion and lasting peace.
