“Everyone deserves an equal opportunity for human rights, especially in this beautiful country that I grew up in,” says Linda Heng, General Manager of Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Malaysia, when asked what inspires her to focus on her career, empowering Indigenous communities.
Since its establishment in 2011, Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Malaysia has been committed to fostering unity, empowering communities, and creating sustainable solutions to social challenges. Guided by the vision of “One Family under God,” the organization works across sectors to bridge divides and build resilience, with a strong focus on rural and Indigenous communities. From providing clean water access and improving education to developing livelihood opportunities, GPF Malaysia’s initiatives combine compassion with practical action to create lasting change.
For the past five years, Linda Heng has served as the General Manager of GPF Malaysia, overseeing organizational management, internal control, and program implementation. As part of the founding team, she has worked closely with Indigenous communities across Malaysia, driving projects that champion equal opportunity, human rights, and sustainable impact. In this interview, Linda shares her journey, the values that inspire her, and her vision for accelerating impact in 2025 and beyond.
