After many active nights of protests against police misconduct, crowds of people came together to clean up the streets of Minneapolis. The volunteers picked up debris and redirected traffic. Meanwhile in Atlanta, GA, volunteers cleaned up the entrance of the CNN center after it was destroyed by a violent protest. In Louisville, KY, a lone police officer was separated from his unit during the chaos of a protest. However, five strangers from the crowd linked arms together and protected him from other protestors.
A teenage boy named Antonio Gwynn Jr. from Buffalo, NY, took it upon himself to sweep the streets of New York from the mess from the recent protests. A local businessman was moved by the 18-year-old’s altruistic actions and awarded Antonio with a full scholarship to Medaille College and a red 2004 Ford Mustang convertible.
