The University of Baltimore (UBalt) and the Global Peace Foundation (GPF) are deepening their collaboration to advance peacebuilding, civic engagement, and leadership development in Baltimore. The expanded partnership, formalized in January 2026, builds on ongoing initiatives, such as the Baltimore Cross-Community Reconciliation Project, bringing together residents across racial and social lines for structured dialogue that fosters trust, understanding, and community resilience. Through joint educational programs, applied research, and public engagement, the partnership aims to translate academic expertise into tangible impact locally and globally.
This collaboration opens new avenues for students, faculty, and community members to engage in practical peacebuilding and democratic leadership initiatives. From graduate involvement in the Baltimore Police Academy’s “Our Shared Humanity” sessions to global leadership forums, the partnership creates opportunities to strengthen relationships, build analytical and practical skills, and model values-based approaches to conflict resolution.
