Looking forward to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and to address the growing diversity of Japan’s population, the annual Multicultural One Family Festival provides a space for Japanese natives and new immigrant communties to connect and support each other.

This year’s festival was held on October 10 at the Sumida Riverside Hall. A panel with youth representatives from different cultural communities opened the program. Entertainment highlighted the diverse cultural residents of Japan.

Special guests included local city councilwoman Noemi Meneses Inoue and the Ambassadors of Republic of Guatemala and the Dominican Republic.
