The Oslo Times reports Global Peace Foundation Nigeria’s sensitization program

On August 16th, Global Peace Foundation Nigeria held sensitization programs in both the Makarfi and Ikara communities in Kaduna State as part of the “One Family Under God” Campaign

The Ikara and Makarfi communities have faced many difference conflicts, including religious violence. According to GPF Nigeria’s Media and Communication’s Officer, Richard Pius Garba, the programs are held, “to further cement the existing peace and enlighten the people on the importance of recognising each other’s differences.” 

The effort to resolve conflict without violence has reached out to the members in both the communities in hopes to further expand the message to more people.
