Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Rafiah Salim is the President for Muslim Women’s Action Society (PERTIWI), with almost three decades of experience in the academic and human resource fields. Dr. Rafiah previously served as Assistant Secretary General for Human Resource Management at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, and as Vice Chancellor/President of University Malaya, the first woman to be appointed a university president in Malaysia. She also served as General Manager (HR) of Maybank, Assistant Governor of Malaysia’s Central Bank and as a lecturer and Dean of the Faculty of Law, University Malaya. She was awarded the Panglima Setia Mahkota (P.S.M) from His Majesty The Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Sahah in 2011.
