Rev. Fr. Cesar C. Vergara has spent the past 33 years of his priesthood in
the joint worlds of the Catholic church community and civil society sector in
the Philippines. He was able to devote 26 years of his vocation in leading the
social development arm of the Diocese of San Jose, province of Nueva Ecija: the
Social Action Center. At present, he still supervises the implementation of the
Basic Ecclessial Communities and community-driven development in the region
while he is also a consultant of the federation of farmers.
