Mr. Joan Alberto Mateo Sánchez is a young and proactive member of his community in the Dominican Republic. Since 2004, Mr. Mateo has been collaborating with international universities to bring volunteers that work on service projects in the areas of education, health, environment and social entrepreneurship. He is currently the director of the Dominican Republic Chapter of Service for Peace, an organization that engages youth to create a positive impact on their communities.
