Mr. Aya Goto serves as International Senior Vice President of Program Development and Implementation at the Global Peace Foundation, headquartered in Washington State, USA. Born in Kobe and raised in Tokyo, he graduated from Keio University in 1989 with a degree in applied chemistry, specializing in environmental chemistry. Since joining the Global Peace Foundation in 2009, Mr. Goto has overseen international affiliates and supported the development and implementation of programs worldwide. He has organized conferences, social initiatives, and festivals in more than 15 countries. Since 2012, he has also served as Representative Director of Global Peace Foundation Japan. At Japan’s Peace Design Forum, he has delivered more than 20 lectures on “The Korean Dream Approach to Peace in Northeast Asia.” He also holds leadership and governance roles in GPF-affiliated organizations across Asia and Africa.
