Lucimar Nascimento is the mayor of Valparaíso. Her management prioritzes inclusion, citizenship and public safety and encourages education through the Programa Mais Educação (More Education Program). She was elected as the Municipal councilor in 2004. She is also the president of the Association of Municipalities Adjacent to Brasilia (AMAB) and the vice president of Vigilância Sanitária da Frente Nacional de Prefeitos. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Social Science from Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG) and postgradudated in Environmental Management from Universidade Estadual de Goiás (UEG).
