H.E. Rafael Hipólito Mejía served as President of the Dominican Republic from 2000 to 2004. During his tenure as President, he instituted government programs aimed at reducing poverty, reviving various economic sectors as well as modernizing the country’s infrastructure and public services. He also served as Minister of Agriculture. His private agricultural and business ventures have contributed to the development and modernization of agricultural technologies. He is currently one of the leading figures of Partido Revolucionario Dominicano.
