Dr. Yang is an Associate Research Professor and Chief of US Foreign Policy in the Institute of American Studies at China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR). Her research focuses on US foreign policy, Asia-Pacific Security, and Sino-US relations. She has published dozens of articles and several books on those topics. Her latest book, Obama’s China Policy in the First Term: Seeking to Address the Rise of China and Non-zero sum Relationship Modalities (2014), has conducted a thorough and profound research on Obama’s China policy. She received a Master’s in International Relations from Chinese Foreign Affairs College in 1999. She received her PhD as with US studies specialty from CICIR in 2013.
