Dr. Kwang-kyu Nam holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Korea University and currently serves as Director of the Maebong Institute for One Korea and Research Fellow at the Asiatic Research Institute (ARI). He previously led ARI’s Center for Unification and International Peace, Center for North Korean Studies, and Center for Taiwan Research. A frequent commentator in domestic and international media on North Korean affairs, Dr. Nam also serves as a policy advisor and editor-in-chief of an academic journal. His publications include Unified Korea’s Economic Vision and Trans-Pacific Financial Hub (co-author), National Interests of the U.S., China, Japan, and Russia in North Korea (ARI), North Korea and South Korea (co-author, Nova Science), and Korea’s Six Modern Republican Leadership (co-author, AKS). He has received the Presidential Award for public contributions to Korean unification and academic honors for best papers from both SCI and KCI journals.
