Dr. Ernesto Talvi is a nonresident senior fellow in the Global Economy and Development Program. He also serves as the director of the Brookings Global-CERES Economic and Social Policy in Latin America Initiative; as Academic Director of CERES in Montevideo, Uruguay; and as a visiting professor at Columbia University in New York. His work focuses on emerging markets macroeconomics with special emphasis on Latin America, stabilization programs, fiscal policy, capital flows and financial crises.
