Dr. Alan Largey was educated in Belfast and for many years, during the worst of Northern Ireland’s troubles, taught in an inner-city school where the pupils suffered greatly from the effect of on-going violence. After leaving education he spent a short time in the business world before joining Co-operation Ireland where he has managed several projects around Community Engagement and Capacity Building including work in the United States. He is involved in the promotion of Co-operation Ireland’s ‘Peace-sharing’ efforts globally.
