Southeast Asian Youth Participate in Moral and Innovative Leadership Training Camp

Youth from Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Cambodia gathered for Global Peace Volunteers Camp* (GPV) in San Antonio, Zambales, Philippines on May 18-20, 2016 to receive leadership training in community development, peacebuilding, and disaster relief. For three days, participants developed skills in leadership, personal growth, and emergency response protocols, while also engaging in collaborative efforts among themselves as well as Zambales locals.

At the closing ceremony, Global Peace Foundation Philippines and National University distributed ten solar-powered street lights in Sitio Tubo-Tubo, Brgy. San Esteban in San Antonio, Zambales, ensuring hundreds of families naturally-sourced light. Final moments of the GPV camp were filled with enthusiasm as empowered participants expressed ways to contribute positively to their respective communities.
