Najib Receives Culture Of Peace Award: The Star and Malaysia Digest Report

At the Annual Global Peace Awards Gala, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak received the Culture of Peace Award on December 7th at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

The Star Online reported the new and Malaysia Digest later reposted.

Later on his facebook he wrote: “The purpose is to achieve peace not just during our time, but for all times.” He continues, “Although the path to true peace is long and arduous, I am confident that we have made great strides towards promoting understanding and goodwill among our fellow men. I am a firm believer that peace can only be achieved if we are willing to substitute dialogue, in place of conflict.” 

The Global Peace Award is presented annually to individuals or non-governmental organizations for outstanding efforts that bridge social gaps and meet human needs in the areas of scholarship, business, service, governance, inter-religious cooperation, and the strengthening of family.
