“My mother’s side of the family was displaced by the Korean War,” Kim Hyeong-Seok said at the press conference on April 30th at the Seoul Press Center.
“I still remember my grandparents crying when they watched the reunions between separated families on TV. They couldn’t sing “Arirang” without tears. I think unity is everyone’s desire. With that same sentiment I will compose a song that can embrace all generations.”
