A star-studded line-up of Korean artists such as EXO, SISTAR and Insooni performed at the “One K Concert” held over the weekend at the World Cup Stadium in Seoul.
The concert, which was backed by the Ministry of Unification and other organizations, lightly touched on the reunification theme between South Korea and North Korea, reports The Korea Herald.
The performers included popular K-Pop acts like girls groups AOA, SPICA, SISTAR, Red Velvet, Wonder Girls, Girl’s Day, KARA, EXID; boy groups EXO, GOT7, BTS, Monsta X and VIXX; and solo artists such as Insooni and Na Yoon Kwon.
The groups performed many of their recent hits such as AOA’s “Heart Attack” and GOT7’s “If You Do.”
But the highlight of the night were the two new reunification songs that were created especially for the event.
The first reunification song, “One Dream,” was sung by veteran singer Insooni as a powerful opener to the concert.
The second reunification song, “One Dream One Korea,” was performed at the end by all the groups and artists gathered that night. The song was composed by Kim Hyung Suk and written by Kim Eana, and had been released earlier as a digital track, reports The Korea Herald.
