Kenyan Youth Urged to Build Peace After Elections at International Day of Peace 2022 Forum

The Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Kenya partnered with Mkenya Daima Initiative, Daystar University, National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), the European Union, the Standard Group PLC, and other peace-based organizations to commemorate the International Day of Peace 2022 at Daystar University on September 22, 2022.
 
The forum welcomed more than 300 young people under the theme, “End Racism, Build Peace,” and reviewed the position of Kenyans in building a peaceful country beyond the recent general elections.
 

Speakers at the event included GPF Kenya Executive Director, Mr. Daniel Juma Omondi; Mkenya Daima Initiative, Chairman, Dr. Vimal Shah; National Cohesion and Integration Commission CEO, Dr. Skitter Ocharo; Interreligious Council of Kenya, Executive Board Member, Dr. John Warari; and Peace and Development Advisor Kenya, UN Resident Coordinator’s Office, Ms. Rana Taha.
