Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Indonesia hosted online webinars throughout 2020 as part of an ongoing series for young leaders in Indonesia.

This webinar was held on September 20, 2020, on the theme “Diversity and Religion for Peace.” More than forty participated on the online forum which welcomed distinguished presenters Dr. Drs. Chandra Setiawan, M.M, Ph. D (Chairman of GPF Indonesia), Prof. Musdah Mulia (Chairperson ICRP), and Engkus Ruswana (Chair of the Presidium 1 of the Indonesian Trustworthiness Council). The webinar was moderated by Shintya Rahmi Utami (General Manager of GPF Indonesia).

According to Dr.Chandra Setiawan, “To build peace and accept plurality we need to use the common ground we have agreed as a nation, namely Pancasila and universal religious values. Gradually we are optimistic that peace will continue to be built between us.”

Engkus Ruswana added, “Peace and tolerance must continue to be voiced by religious and community leaders, it is not enough just to be done by the government, but also to be done together.”

Prof. Musdah Mulia said, “Peace and tolerance must continue to be voiced by religious and community leaders, it is not enough just to be done by the government, but also to be done together. This is intended so that actions that are contrary to humanity and the law do not occur.”
