AKU-USA partnered with Liberty in North Korea at UC Berkeley and the Global Peace Foundation to host Korean Dream: Pathway to Peace & Freedom – North Korea, Human Rights and the Vision for Unification. The event will feature an insightful panel discussion with Hyunseung Lee, a North Korean escapee, and Rtd. Colonel David Maxwell, an expert on Northeast Asian security. Together, they will unpack the harsh realities of life under the North Korean regime, the broader implications of North Korea’s actions on global peace, and how students and communities can be part of the movement for a free and unified Korea.
