Notice on Fraudulent Recruitment Messages from Website and Social Media Accounts

 

Global Peace Foundation appreciates the efforts of law enforcement agencies in addressing fraudulent activities that misuse the names and reputations of legitimate organizations.

We encourage everyone to beware of fraudulent websites and recruitment solicitations that do not originate from official Global Peace Foundation websites:

The website gpf-ina.org is not affiliated with Global Peace Foundation and has been seized by U.S. law enforcement authorities.

In the meantime, Global Peace Foundation remains committed to maintaining the integrity of our mission and protecting applicants, partners, volunteers, and supporters from fraudulent activity. 

Important Notice: Beware of Fraudulent Recruitment Websites and Solicitations

Global Peace Foundation (GPF) has been made aware of fraudulent recruitment activities conducted through fake websites, text messages, and online outreach falsely claiming to represent Global Peace Foundation Indonesia and other organizations.

We are encouraged by recent law enforcement action announced by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which resulted in the seizure and shutdown of multiple websites allegedly used as part of a broader scheme involving fraudulent recruiting, identity theft, money laundering, and attempts to obtain sensitive information from applicants and recruits.

Among the domains identified and seized by federal authorities was: gpf-ina.org This website was not affiliated with Global Peace Foundation and has been disabled by law enforcement authorities. Individuals may have been contacted through LinkedIn, text messages, email, or other online platforms by persons falsely claiming to represent Global Peace Foundation Indonesia through this fraudulent website.

What You Should Know

Global Peace Foundation and Global Peace Foundation Indonesia do not request sensitive personal information, government credentials, classified information, or financial payments as part of any recruitment process.

If you receive a job offer, recruiting message, or employment solicitation claiming to be from Global Peace Foundation, please verify that it originates from one of our official websites and channels before responding.

Warning Signs of Recruitment Fraud

Be cautious if you encounter any of the following:

  • Requests to communicate exclusively through encrypted messaging apps or unofficial channels
  • Requests involving cryptocurrency payments or transfers
  • Pressure to act quickly or keep communications confidential

If you have been contacted by someone claiming to represent Global Peace Foundation through the now-disabled gpf-ina.org website or any other suspicious source, we encourage you to:

  1. Discontinue communication with the sender.
  2. Do not provide personal, financial, or sensitive information.
  3. Retain any emails, text messages, or screenshots for your records.
  4. Verify opportunities through our official websites listed above.
  5. Report suspicious activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities and the platform through which the contact occurred.
