We are encouraged by recent law enforcement action announced by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which resulted in the seizure and shutdown of multiple websites allegedly used as part of a broader scheme involving fraudulent recruiting, identity theft, money laundering, and attempts to obtain sensitive information from applicants and recruits.
Among the domains identified and seized by federal authorities was: gpf-ina.org This website was not affiliated with Global Peace Foundation and has been disabled by law enforcement authorities. Individuals may have been contacted through LinkedIn, text messages, email, or other online platforms by persons falsely claiming to represent Global Peace Foundation Indonesia through this fraudulent website.
