GPF Brazil is remarkably dedicated to fostering peace and unity across communities through its innovative approach to peacebuilding. Guided by the vision of “One Family under God,” GPF Brazil’s work in Goiânia and beyond combines three key pillars: Interfaith Leadership, Empowering Families and Youth, and Building a Culture of Service. These foundational aspects underpin GPF’s commitment to creating sustainable peace and empowering the next generation to make meaningful contributions to society.

Through interfaith leadership, GPF Brazil brings together leaders from diverse faiths to champion shared human values such as compassion, respect, and integrity, fostering unity and offering a model of religious harmony in a world often divided by differences. By empowering families and youth through strengthening familial bonds and supporting parents, GPF Brazil nurtures responsible, compassionate individuals while equipping young people with mentorship and opportunities to grow as community leaders and changemakers. GPF Brazil is also committed to building a culture of service, through service-oriented projects addressing social and environmental challenges where youth develop leadership skills and a strong sense of community responsibility, thus realizing their role in creating a better, more inclusive world.

During the award ceremony, the young members of GPF Brazil were commended for their dedication to learning and excellence, setting a high standard in areas like environmental sustainability and social responsibility. Their work reflects a deep commitment to improving their community and inspiring others, embodying the values GPF strives to promote. Through various projects, the team has shown how small actions can create meaningful change, particularly in environmental initiatives that prioritize sustainability and advocate for responsible resource management.

For Brunno, legal director for GPF Brazil, this honor is a deeply meaningful recognition of years of dedication and passion for community service. His journey with GPF began in 2016 when he first encountered the organization during his college years while studying law. Inspired by GPF Brazil’s commitment to social betterment, Brunno joined the organization and was later invited to serve as Legal Director. Since then, he has played a vital role in advancing GPF’s mission, contributing to projects in diverse areas such as public security, education, and youth engagement.

Reflecting on his experiences, Brunno shared, “Since I was a teenager, I have always been interested in working with civil society, especially in my state and city, where I grew up and still live today. GPF Brazil has offered me a platform to make a difference, not only locally but also internationally, as I have participated in projects in South Africa and Paraguay. Being part of GPF has brought me immense personal and professional growth, and I’m honored to continue this journey with such a dedicated team.”

Brunno’s testimony speaks to the transformative power of GPF’s work in shaping young leaders and creating a community of individuals who are committed to peace and social progress. The Youth Honorary Diploma is more than just an award; it is a testament to the impact young people can have when they are empowered to lead.

Through its multifaceted approach to peacebuilding, GPF Brazil continues to inspire a generation of youth to be leaders of change in their communities and beyond. The recognition of GPF Brazil’s youth team serves as a reminder that, with the right support and guidance, young people have the potential to reshape the world and build a future grounded in compassion, unity, and peace.
