On International Youth Day, Global Peace Youth Korea hosted the One Korea Youth Forum 2026 in Seoul, bringing together young people from South Korea, North Korea, the Korean diaspora, and the international community to envision a free, peaceful, and unified Korean Peninsula.
Supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and organized with youth groups including the Korean Dream Crew, the Youth Association of the Korea CIS Diaspora Association, and Muipan Sapan, the forum invited young people from diverse backgrounds to explore what the vision of One Korea means for their generation. Rooted in the idea of Hongik Ingan, to broadly benefit humanity, the gathering emphasized that Korean unification is not only a political issue, but a shared responsibility tied to peace, human dignity, and the future of Northeast Asia.

A key part of the forum was the Peace Participants project proposal session under the theme “Startup for Peace: Global Youth for Building a Sustainable Korean Peninsula.” Participants presented ideas in areas including education, employment, technological innovation, social integration, peace, and human rights, showing how youth can move from awareness to practical action.
The forum also marked the launch of Youth Solidarity for One Korea, a growing network of domestic and international youth organizations committed to advancing the vision of One Korea. The initiative aims to connect university campuses, youth organizations, and young leaders across Korea and around the world through lectures, forums, campaigns, cultural exchanges, and global networking opportunities.
In his remarks, Seo In-taek, president of Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Korea, applauded the young participants, saying, “Throughout history, it has always been young people with a vision who have truly changed the world.”
