Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Cambodia honored 275 youth volunteers as graduates of the Basic English Language Instruction (BELI) project and Environment Education project at the 4th Global Peace Youth Volunteers Assembly hosted on October 14 by Global Peace Alliance Cambodia. Under the youth division of GPF Cambodia, these volunteers diligently served as mentors for elementary students learning English and implementing environmental awareness education.

The BELI project, launched by GPF Cambodia in partnership with the Ministry of Education in 2013, has served thousands of children in underpriviledged communities across the country. English is quickly rising as the primary language in many Southeast Asian nations. Providing quality education through English literacy programs like BELI gives Cambodian youth a significant advantage as the country enters globalized economy and multicultural world.
