sustainable development, humanitarian coordination, and peace and security, serving with the UN and the Red Cross movement in numerous fragile and conflict-
affected regions. A three-time TEDx speaker, he is also a prolific commentator on humanitarian and development issues, with contributions to Newsweek, Los
Angeles Times, Reuters, Huffington Post, Forbes, CNN, Al Jazeera, The Guardian, and more recently, mainstream Chinese publications. He holds a master’s degree in public policy from Princeton University.
