Mr. Ganbat Gonchigsuren is the founder and chairman of GPF Mongolia. An activist and leader, Mr. Ganbat has spearheaded multiple community development initiatives, projects, and organizations throughout his career. Since 2014 he has been directing Youth for Regional Peace and Prosperity (Y4RP), an annual youth social entrepreneurship contest that is creating awareness among young people about the importance of peace and security in Northeast Asia. Some 22 universities, 136 teams, and 346 university students have participated to date. Mr. Ganbat has also been piloting the Community-driven Street Development Project in Darkhan city since 2013. Previously, Mr. Ganbat served as a member of the Darkhan-Uul Province Assembly, chairman of the Auditing Committee of the Darkhan City Urban Planning and Development Policy Committee, and chairman of the Board of the Darkhan Industrial Technology Park. He holds an MA in political science, public administration.
