Mr. Daniel Koroma serves as Vice President of the Montgomery County Board of Elections and is a dedicated advocate and community organizer focused on expanding civic engagement. After becoming a U.S. citizen, he served as a voter registrar and led initiatives to increase voter participation across diverse communities. He played a key role in advocating for a new early
voting site in White Oak, providing testimony before county, state, and legislative bodies to help secure its establishment. In 2009, he was appointed by then-County Executive Ike Leggett as the first African Community Liaison for African and Caribbean communities in Montgomery County. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he hosted virtual sessions to connect nonprofits and small businesses with critical resources. He holds a master’s degree from the University of Maryland’s James A. Clark School of Engineering and is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Leadership program.
