Hon. Duncan Maina Mathenge is a Member of Parliament for Nyeri Town Constituency, elected in August 2022. He serves as the vice-chairperson of the National Cohesion and Equal Opportunity Parliamentary Committee, having been elected unopposed, reflecting his respected leadership. Hon. Mathenge is also a member of the Parliamentary Committees on Health, Public Investment on Energy and Commercial Affairs, and National Cohesion. He chairs the Parliamentary Coffee and Tea Caucus, actively supporting agricultural development. With a Bachelor of Science in Health Systems Management from Kenya Methodist University, he is a certified dental technologist and a consultant in Bredent Dental Implant Systems. His background in healthcare informs his legislative work, including sponsoring the National Hospital Insurance Fund (Amendment) Bill, 2023, and the Medical Practitioners and Dentists (Amendment) Bill, 2024.
