Governor Abdusakur Mahail Tan is President/Chairman and CEO of AMT Group of Companies with interests in petroleum and shipping, among others. Governor Tan served as Congressman for the 1st District of Sulu and thereafter as Governor and Vice Governor of the same province. He united the heirs to the Sulu Sultanate and on November 29 2016, he was granted authority to represent the five Sultans in all matters and concerns relative to the Sultanate and was conferred the Royal Rank of Datu Shahbandar and appointed Special Envoy of the Council.
