Dr. Tsolmon Sodnom is the Deputy director of Ulaanbaatar University and a historian with a doctoral degree. From 1976 to 2014, she worked at the Institute of History, Academy of Sciences, and since 1995, she ha s been serving as the head of department, dean, and currently vice president at Ulaanbaatar University.

Her primary research interests focus on Medieval Mongolian history, including the Great Mongol Empire, the Mongol Empire, the Golden Horde, and the history of the Dzungar Khanate. She is the author of several books such as The Socio-Political Activities of King Galdan, The Mongol Golden Horde, and The Empire of Chinggis Khan, among others. Additionally, She has edited more than 20 academic books.
