Theresita V. Atienza is the Senior Vice President of the Development Academy of the Philippines. Prof. Atienza is Senior Lecturer at the U.P. SOLAIR and Professor at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines where she was formerly Dean of the College of Science and Director of the Open University. She is a doctorate degree holder in Educational Management. Dr. Atienza is also a recipient of the Asian Public Intellectuals Fellowship Programme of the Nippon Foundation and conducted a research titled “Open and Distance Learning Institutions in Thailand: Lessons for the Philippines”. She has trained in Occupational Safety and Health and published articles on the said theme in newspapers and journals.
