Dr. Qingguo Jia is a Professor and former Dean of the School of International Studies of Peking University, Vice President of China Association for Asia-Pacific Studies, Vice President of China Association of American Studies, and Vice President of China National Association for International Relations. He has taught in University of Vermont, Cornell University, University of California at San Diego, University of Sydney in Australia as well as Peking University. He was a visiting professor at the University of Vienna and a fellow at the Center for Northeast Asian Policy Studies at the Brookings Institution. He is a member of Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and a member of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League. He has published extensively on China-US relations, Chinese foreign policy, East Asian issues and cross-Taiwan strait relations.
