Dr. Liping Xia is a professor of the Department of Diplomatic Studies, China Foreign Affairs University. Her research focuses on consular affairs and the foreign policy of Contemporary China. She worked in the consular section of the Chinese Embassy in Israel from 2000 to 2002 and was a Fulbright Research Fellow at the Fletcher
School, Tufts University from August 2013-June 2014. She is the author of 3 books and co-author of more than 10 books and more than 60 academic papers on consular affairs and diplomacy.
