Dr. Er-Win Tan is a Visiting Senior Lecturer at the Department of International and Strategic Studies at the University of Malaya. He holds a PhD in International Politics at the Department of International Politics, Aberystwyth University and a MA with High Distinction in Strategic Studies from the Australian National University. He has research interests in US-North Korean Interaction, The Korean War, The Vietnam War, and  Security and Diplomacy in the Asia Pacific Region. He has published numerous articles and papers relating to Northeast Asia relations and security.
