Dr. Dong-soon Park is the Chair of the Department of Security Policy Studies at the Graduate School of National Defense Science, Hansung University, where he lectures on North Korean politics and military affairs, inter-Korean relations, unification policy, and related subjects. He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from the Graduate School of Kyungnam University with his dissertation titled “A Study on the Decision-Making of Korea’s Combat Unit Dispatch Policy in the Post–Cold War Era.” He has served as Director of the International Conflict History Division at the Ministry of National Defense Institute for Military History, and has taught at the Graduate Schools of Political Science at Sookmyung Women’s University and Kookmin University. He has also been active as a professor at the Korea National Defense Veterans Association and the Institute for Unification Education, as well as serving as President of the AKU Professors’ Association. His major publications include Introduction to Military Science, International Conflicts and Peace Operations, and Strategies for Promoting Inter-Korean Integration.
