On August 15, the second day of the forum focused on strengthening international cooperation and regional solidarity in support of the Korean people’s pursuit of peaceful unification. Discussions underscored the importance of placing human rights and citizen-led engagement at the heart of unification strategies, while also recognizing the strategic roles of key stakeholders across Northeast Asia, the Indo-Pacific, and the United States.
Key sessions included:
- The Role of Northeast Asia and the United States in Supporting a Free and Unified Korea
- Regional Solidarity for Korean Unification: Mobilizing the Indo-Pacific for Peace
- Stories Beyond Borders: A Conversation with North Korean Escapees
Day two of the Forum emphasized the importance of international solidarity and human dignity as foundational pillars for a unified Korea. Through policy dialogue, regional partnerships, and powerful storytelling, participants reaffirmed their commitment to peaceful unification as a critical step toward lasting peace and shared prosperity in Northeast Asia and beyond.
The International Forum on One Korea 2025 brought together global leaders, policymakers, civil society advocates, youth, and diaspora communities to advance a vision for a free and unified Korea—one rooted in the shared identity, values, and aspirations of the Korean people in commemoration of the 80th National Liberation Day of Korea.
