The Global Peace Foundation’s (GPF) Transforming Education initiative is reimagining learning across continents; equipping students with character, leadership, and problem-solving skills that extend far beyond the classroom. In the Philippines, GPF is training education leaders to integrate values and peacebuilding into schools; in Uganda, it is empowering student peace-club leaders and fostering inclusive learning environments; and in Kenya, initiatives like the Transforming Education in the Global South workshop and a Computing Bootcamp with Oracle Academy are preparing educators and students for a future defined by innovation and collaboration.

That global momentum is now advancing in higher education through a new partnership between Mount Kenya University (MKU) and GPF Kenya. The two institutions have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen youth leadership, peacebuilding, and community outreach, aligning with the GPF Transforming Education framework. Housed in MKU’s School of Education, the collaboration is set to embed character, values, and social responsibility into the training of future educators and graduates, ensuring they are equipped to make a positive impact in Kenya and beyond.
