Prince Ermias Sahle-Selassie is a grandson of Ethiopia’s late Emperor Haile Selassie I. He serves as President of the Ethiopian Crown Council, the representative of the Ethiopian crown during interregnum, a position he has held since 1999. His professional careers have included positions in investment banking, government affairs firms and several business organizations. He has served as the patron of a number of charitable and philanthropic organizations, including the International Society for Imperial Ethiopian Orders. His charitable works have included procuring college scholarships for Ethiopian students to study in the United States; ongoing efforts digitizing portions of the archives of Ethiopia’s National Library; and fundraising to aid in the renovation of Holy Trinity Cathedral in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He currently serves on the Boards of the Ethiopian Royal Trust as well as the United States Congressional International Conservation Caucus.
