Daniel Juma Omondi is the GPF Regional Representative for Africa and Field Representative for Kenya. Daniel is a seasoned peacebuilding, governance, and public policy leader with more than 20 years of experience in conflict prevention, social cohesion, civic engagement, and development diplomacy.
Daniel has led major initiatives promoting peaceful elections, interfaith and interethnic dialogue, youth leadership, education reform, and inclusive governance across Africa. Under his leadership, GPF Kenya has grown into one of Kenya’s leading peacebuilding organizations, implementing impactful programs such as National Youth Peace Camps and the #ResilientKenya peaceful elections campaign.
He works closely with governments, parliamentary institutions, faith leaders, civil society, and international partners on democratic resilience, conflict prevention, and youth empowerment. Daniel also brings firsthand political experience, having contested the 2019 Ugenya Constituency parliamentary by-election in Kenya.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and Korean studies, as well as a diploma in international studies from the University of Nairobi. He is also certified in Foundations in Mass Atrocity Prevention by the Auschwitz Institute for the Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities in New York.
