Happy New Year!

As we welcome the New Year of 2024 and look forward to the promise and opportunities that lie ahead, I am grateful for the important progress in peacebuilding that we have achieved together, thanks to your continued support and the dedicated efforts of our Global Peace Foundation team and partners around the world. We are making plans for 2024 with confidence that our highly relevant initiatives can make an even greater impact in the new year.

If you were among those who participated in our recent Global Peace Convention 2023, I think you would agree that the many discussions among policy experts, educators and grassroots practitioners on key issues and effective program models were indeed inspiring and very productive. The Convention theme, “One Family under God: Vision for National Transformation and a Civilization of Peace,” not only articulated the focus for that convening, but also encapsulates the purpose of the Global Peace movement – to be a catalyst for peacebuilding that uplifts the human family.

As we turn the page on 2023, our thoughts and prayers are with the many millions around the world suffering due to war, conflicts, privation, and insecurity. Now more than ever, we share the moral responsibility to uplift and honor the dignity, fundamental rights, and well-being of all people. In this new year, let us determine to accelerate our progress in the great cause of building One Family under God, so that the 21st century can be the starting point for a new civilization of freedom and peace.
